About Brian

Brian is a proud husband parent and resident of the Lehigh Valley having been born and raised in the Coopersburg area, and genuinely enjoys working in the Macungie office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox and Roach Realtors as part of The Mick Seislove Team. Brian is also Co-Owner and Director of Marketing and Design at Baker Development Group LLC parent company to local award-winning green residential design-build firms studio26 homes (new construction) and Renu Building and Energy Solutions (remodeling/energy improvements). After graduating from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1995 Brian then graduated from Lehigh University (99) with a B.A. degree in Architecture where he was honored with several awards including the esteemed Lehigh Undergraduate Merit Award the highest honor bestowed upon an undergraduate student by the Alumni Association. He then went on to graduate school at the University of Maryland College Park (01) where he received a Master of Architecture degree. Additionally he studied architecture and land planning overseas in Paris France learning about both modern and classical design strategies. Brian then worked several years for the oft-regarded top 10 architecture firm in the nation Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership (currently ZGF Architects LLP) in Washington DC and then at Spillman Farmer Architects in Bethlehem PA conducting urban design and architectural work for a variety of commercial institutional and civic projects. Currently Brian holds professional designations as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional with both BD+C (Building Design + Construction) and Homes specialties from the U.S. Green Building Council and a Master Certified Green Professional from the National Association of Home Builders. In October 2013 Brian was honored with his selection as one of twelve jurors from across the country to judge the award-winning U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2013 hosted in Irvine CA. Additionally he has lectured on various green building and real estate topics at Lehigh University The Goodman Center for Real Estate Studies and various venues/events throughout the region including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 3 (Mid-Atlantic) Office (Philadelphia PA) and NeoCon (Chicago IL) the largest interior design show in North America. In the June 2011 issue of Professional Builder magazine Brian was honored and recognized as one of the top 40 Under 40 home-building professionals in the United States. In April 2013 Brian was also honored by regional publication Lehigh Valley Business with a Forty Under 40 Award in recognition for his significant contributions made throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley region. In October 2013 the Delaware Valley Green Building Council Lehigh Valley Branch presented Brian with the notable Sustainability Award for Individual Leadership honoring the outstanding individual who exemplifies the spirit of sustainable design construction and management within the Lehigh Valley. And in February 2014 Brian was honored with the prestigious NAHBGreen Individual Advocate of the Year Award from the National Association of Home Builders honoring the individual who has demonstrated unique dedication to informing and inspiring home builders and the public about the benefits of green building for homeowners and for the planet. Furthermore Brian and his company have pioneered residential green building throughout eastern Pennsylvania having been awarded 17 regional honors since 2007 as well as the distinguished Building Innovation Award from the Pennsylvania Builders Association in 2007 and the first to complete several green building certifications including LEED Platinum LEED Silver ANSI National Green Building Standard Emerald and NAHB National Green Building Gold.
